2011 New York Book Show

The 25th Annual New York Book Show was held on April 4, 2011, and North Market Street Graphics came away with three awards, one of which was a 25th Anniversary Heritage Award recognizing one of the best books of the past 25 years.

The annual show, sponsored by the Book Industry Guild of New York, comprising members from the book publishing and book manufacturing industries, "encourages, recognizes, honors, and celebrates excellence in book production and design." Judges for this prestigious show are selected from among prominent professionals in these industries. NMSG has been honored for its work on several books in the past decade.

Poetry in Person: Twenty-five Years of Conversation with America's Poets (Alfred A. Knopf), edited by Alexander Neubauer. Second Place, General Trade, Poetry. NMSG was recognized for composition.



Encyclopedia of the Exquisite: An Anecdotal History of Elegant Delights (Nan A. Talese/Doubleday), by Jessica Kerwin Jenkins. Merit Award, Special Trade—General. NMSG was recognized for composition.



In the Shadow of No Towers (Pantheon), by Art Spiegelman. Heritage Award, Third Place. NMSG was recognized for composition and text separation.
